convention differs as follows:

ZPL device specifiers:

R: DRAM

B: Optional Memory

E: Extra EPROM

Z: Standard EPROM

PPI device specifiers:

R: DRAM

B: FLASH

Z: Standard Fonts

Downloaded bitmap fonts are stored in flash with the .bmp, rather than .fnt,
